Activate a volume license and use the dashboard
Enter your license key on multiple devices and follow every scan in the web dashboard.
Once several colleagues work with barValid, a volume license is the simpler route: one key unlocks the full Pro feature set on all devices, billed together on an invoice instead of device by device through the Play Store.
On top of that comes the web dashboard: on a computer you see which devices are in use and what they have scanned — without anyone keeping lists or retyping numbers.
What you need
- A purchased volume license (book one here)
- The license key from the order e-mail
- The barValid app on every device to be unlocked
- For the dashboard: a barValid account using the e-mail address from the order
Step by step
-
Book the licenses
On the volume licenses page you state how many devices need barValid Pro and complete the purchase. The license key then arrives by e-mail. -
Open the license section in the app
Open barValid on the first device, tap Upgrade to Pro (or barValid Pro) in the menu and scroll to the Volume license (B2B) section. -
Enter the key and check it
Paste the license key into the field — copying it from the e-mail avoids typos — and tap Check license. After a few seconds it shows your company name and how many licenses are in use, for example “3 of 25 used”.Every device takes exactly one seat. When a device is replaced, free its seat again with Deactivate in the same section.
-
Repeat on the other devices
The same key works for all devices. Enter it on every phone or handheld that should run Pro — the server keeps the count. -
Create the account for the dashboard
To see the scans on a computer you need a barValid account using exactly the e-mail address the license was bought with. That address is registered as a dashboard user automatically. Creating an account takes a few minutes — here is how. -
Sign in to the web dashboard
On a computer, open webapp.barvalid.com and sign in with that account. You will see every device in your company, when it last checked in and the scan results that came with it. -
Analyse and export
In the dashboard you can filter scans by device and time range and export them for further processing in Excel. Codes scanned without a connection are delivered as soon as the device is back online.
Done — that’s all there is to it.
What you see in the dashboard
- Device overview — every device in your company with its last contact.
- Scan history — which code was scanned when, on which device, and whether it was valid.
- Export — the filtered list as a file for Excel or your own system.
Nothing changes for the devices themselves: people scan as usual, offline included. Results reach the dashboard as soon as there is a connection again.
