barValid satellite is the free Windows companion to the barValid app. You scan with your phone — the barcode shows up on your computer: in a file, on the clipboard or straight inside whichever program you have open.
Three stops, no cable
All that sits between your phone and your PC is the barValid cloud. No docking station, no cable, no handheld scanner.
Scan as usual
Open barValid on your phone and scan the barcode. The app validates it as always — and sends it on its way as well.
Encrypted in transit
The code travels over an encrypted connection to the barValid cloud, which knows your account and which PC it belongs to.
Arrived on the PC
The satellite on your Windows PC picks it up and does exactly what you configured it to do.
You decide what happens to the barcode
Switch the options on individually or all at once — the satellite runs them for every code it receives.
Write it to a file
Every barcode that arrives is written to a text file with date and time — line by line, ready to use as a CSV. You choose where the file lives.
Put it on the clipboard
The code lands on your PC clipboard straight away. Paste it wherever you need it with Ctrl + V.
Type it into the app in front of you
The virtual keyboard types the barcode into whichever window is active — the Excel cell, the Word document, the input mask of your ERP system.
Add Enter or Tab automatically
A keystroke can be sent before and after the barcode. With “Enter” the cursor jumps to the next row on its own after every scan.
Live monitor
The monitor lists every incoming barcode with a timestamp, so you can see at a glance that the connection is up.
From anywhere
Phone and PC do not have to share a network. Scanning works over mobile data, from another building or another country.

Download and install
Run the installer once, start the satellite and sign in with your barValid account. From then on it sits in the background and waits for your scans.
