What the report contains

When the code was scanned — the basis of any later traceability.

The content that was read and the symbology detected: GS1-128, GS1 DataMatrix or QR code.

Every application identifier broken out individually, with meaning and content instead of a raw string.

What the report is good for in practice
Complaint to a supplier
Instead of “your barcode is wrong” you send a PDF stating which field is missing or incorrect — including a picture of the label. That shortens the clarification from days to a single reply.
Spot check in quality assurance
Routine checks are documented with time, inspector and image. If the question comes up months later whether a check happened, the answer is a document rather than a memory.
First-article inspection before a production run
Scan the label once before the first delivery and send the report for approval. Layout mistakes show up before 10,000 labels are printed.

- Scan — the code is read and validated as usual.
- “Create report” — the camera image from the scan is already included.
- Add — further photos and a note, if needed.
- Save or share — store the PDF, print it or send it by email right away.
When several devices inspect
Reports are created on the device doing the inspection. With a volume license all scan results from your devices additionally collect in the web dashboard — filterable by device and period and exportable as a file.
